About FittonMillett

Built from inside the chaos.

I've worked every side of care recruitment: as a recruiter placing the talent, a support worker delivering the care, a care manager fighting the rota, and now as a founder rebuilding the systems that keep breaking. FMC is everything I wish I'd had on the other side of the desk.

Who's behind FMC.

Matt Fitton, founder of FittonMillett Ltd. Transforming internal care recruitment to save the sector losing good people. Manchester-based, working globally.

I started as a 360 recruiter, placing IT and healthcare talent across the North West. Then I went and delivered the care myself as a support worker, followed by several years managing teams across mental health, children's services and elderly care. I've fought the rota, done the DBS chases at 11pm, hired under pressure and watched good people leave because the system around them was broken.

FMC launched in October 2023. It works with care providers globally, from start-ups building their first recruitment process to established services with 50-plus staff trying to break the agency cycle. The difference from most consultants is not methodology. It's that I have done the job you are trying to recruit for.

Building the fix I wish had existed on the other side of the desk.

I'm not a recruiter who studies care. I've lived your problem.

That is the distinction FMC is built on.

Most care providers don't have a recruitment problem. They have a systems problem dressed up as a recruitment problem. You're not short of candidates because the sector is broken. You're short of candidates because your application process takes 45 minutes, your interview confirmations don't arrive, and your last hire ghosted you between offer and start date because nobody followed up.

FMC fixes the system. Not with enterprise software you'll never use. Not with another agency contract. With the right tools, the right process, and the C.E.R.T framework applied properly to a business that actually fits its scale.

The result: hours back every week, agency spend cut, time-to-hire halved, managers who can finally focus on running the service instead of chasing applications.

What FMC stands for.

Three things that run through every piece of work, every client, every engagement.

Honesty over polish.

I would rather tell you what is actually broken than sell you something that sounds good. If your problem is not recruitment, I will tell you. If you don't need our most expensive service, I will tell you that too.

This is why every engagement starts with a discovery call. Not a pitch. A conversation about whether FMC is actually the right fit for where you are right now.

Systems that fit.

Care SMEs don't need enterprise tech. They need tools that actually get used. Every system FMC builds is sized for the business using it, not the business someone wants to sell to.

The ATS is Airtable and Make.com, not a six-figure HR platform. The framework is four clear stages, not a 90-slide deck. Complexity is the enemy of adoption.

Humanity.

Automation is what removes admin so the human conversations can happen better. The candidate care call. The honest 30-day check-in. The exit interview that actually listens. Tech serves the human element. Never replaces it.

The care sector is built on relationships. Every system FMC builds creates space for those relationships to happen properly, because the admin is no longer in the way.

Outside FMC.

Matt volunteers with organisations supporting alienated parents and homeless families. The thread is the same as the work: people in difficult, chaotic situations who need someone to help them build a clearer system. That is where the values come from, not the business plan.

Working with FMC.

A discovery call first. Always. No exceptions. Then you choose how far we go.

1

Self-diagnose

The Health Check and Blueprint scores your recruitment across all nine stages, gives you a /180 score and a 30-page prioritised fix-it plan. £197, one-off. Many clients act on the Blueprint alone and never need anything else from us. That is by design.

2

Get it diagnosed properly

The Recruitment Diagnostic is me doing the digging. A two-week forensic audit with a costed 90-day action plan. If I don't find £5k of recoverable cost, you don't pay. £997.

3

Build the system

The ATS and Automations build removes admin from your team's plate entirely. Candidate tracking, compliance, automated comms, reporting. From £400 per month with a six-month recoup guarantee.

4

Build the capability

The 90-Day Reset is twelve weeks of 1:1 sessions that rebuild your team's recruitment capability from the ground up. Done with you, not for you, so the skills stay when I leave. £1,500.

Whichever path, the work runs on the C.E.R.T framework: Create, Expand, Retain, Train. Your job is to grow the service. Ours is to make sure you can hire the people who get you there.
